Week 16 IDP Matchups to Exploit

Houston Texans Pass Rush vs. Las Vegas Raiders

The Texans are an impossible matchup for the Raiders right now. They lead the league in EPA per pass attempt (-0.28) by a significant margin, and they have the league’s premier edge rushing duo in Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter. Elite coverage will force Geno Smith, who appears ready to return, to hold on to the ball longer, which is a bad setup for Smith and his 26.5% pressure-to-sack rate.

Since Week 10, the Raiders' offensive tackle duo of Stone Forsythe (24) and DJ Glaze (22) ranks first and third in pressures allowed, per PFF. This is a dream matchup on paper for the Texans' defense.

Atlanta Falcons Pass Rush vs. Arizona Cardinals

After struggling to generate any pressure for over a decade, the Falcons have finally found something this season. Though the process of trading a 2026 unprotected first-round pick to get back into the tail-end of last year’s first round is negligent from a team-building standpoint, at least the Falcons hit a home run with the pick. James Pearce Jr. has been outstanding, leading the team in pressures (36) and sacks (8).

They blitz at the second-highest rate in the league (38.7%) and lead the league in time-to-pressure at 2.55 seconds. The Cardinals’ offensive line has struggled a bit over the past few weeks, with injuries among the starters complicating matters for Jacoby Brissett and this offense. The Cardinals' elevated pass rate also creates more opportunities for Pearce and his teammates here.
