Week 15 IDP Matchups to Exploit

Houston Texans Pass Rush vs. Arizona Cardinals

This is the wrong time to lose your best offensive lineman. The Cardinals welcome the Houston Texans to the desert, but they’ll be without left tackle Paris Johnson Jr., who’s week-to-week after suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain last week against the Rams. Right tackle Kelvin Beachum has allowed 17 pressures over the past four weeks, the second-most in the league over that time frame. It’s a smoke ‘em if you got ‘em situation here with the Texans. You’re starting edge rushers Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, but deeper and DT-required leagues should consider Tommy Togiai, who’s been productive and is seeing more snaps due to injuries along the interior.

Philadelphia Eagles Pass Rush vs. Las Vegas Raiders

This is another situation that’s ripe for IDP production. Geno Smith now leads the league in both sacks taken and pressure-to-sack rate, and an impressive come-from-behind takedown of Cam Ward, who appeared ready to run away with both titles for much of the season. Now, Geno injured his hand last week, and Kenny Pickett stepped in, and as of this writing, we still don’t know what to expect for Week 15. Still, the problems are not solely tied to Geno Smith. Over the past four weeks, tackles Stone Forsythe (22) and DJ Glaze (16) have allowed the most and third-most pressures in the league. Jaelan Phillips is the best bet for production, but I think this is a great place to look if you need a spot start at defensive line. Nolan Smith Jr. and Jalyx Hunt are also worth a look, and the interior options like Jalen Carter, Moro Ojomo, and Jordan Davis are well-positioned for big play production as well.
