Week 14 Fantasy Football Sneaky Starts & Sleepers
All but the luckiest fantasy owners at some point need to find the proverbial diamond in the rough—a waiver wire or bench player capable of putting up some points in a pinch. This weekly feature is dedicated to that part of fantasy football. It's not pretty, but it's part of the game.
As of Week 4, we’ve been using 2025 data for our Hot Spots reports and aFPA rankings. It will continue to update as the season progresses, and we started using a rolling 10-week window in Week 12. Remember, the higher the number, the better the matchup.
With four teams on bye, let’s see who’s sneaky this week.
Quarterbacks
Jordan Love, Packers (vs. CHI, 22)
Jordan Love threw for 234/4 against the Lions on Thanksgiving, officially ushering in Toyotathon. Per PFF, Love has the top passing grade in the NFL (91.9), 4,005 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, and one interception during Toyota’s annual sale event. He also has a league-leading 31 deep completions. Yes, it’s kind of silly, but there also may be something to it. It’s not so much that Love thrives during Toyotathon, but that he’s able to raise the level of his play late in the season.
The Bears defense has allowed an average of 235/2.0 to opposing quarterbacks this season, though they’ve picked off a league-high 17 passes. Christian Watson is balling out in his return from knee surgery, and Jayden Reed may return to give Love another weapon. It’s a monstrous game in the NFC North, and Love has a history of producing against the Bears–he has posted 20.2, 18.5, and 23.0 in his last three meaningful games against Chicago.
Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars (vs. IND, 16)
Trevor Lawrence is on a big of a hot run, accounting for at least two touchdowns in four of his last five games–the only exception being Week 10 against Houston’s stingy pass defense–and has scored 17+ points in six of his last eight. The Colts have yielded an average of 265/1.33 to enemy quarterbacks, though they’ve been better lately, allowing just 12.6 fantasy points per game to the position in their last five games, but that included matchups against Cam Ward, Aaron Rodgers, Michael Penix, and C.J. Stroud, not exactly a who’s who of fantasy quarterbacking in the year 2025. Lawrence has developed a nice rushing floor–19.6 yards and 0.42 touchdowns as a runner–to go along with competent passing production.
