Forecasting 2024 NFL Rookie LB Success: 3-Year Model
The 2024 NFL Draft is now in the books, giving us dozens of new rookie players to consider for our fantasy teams. In this article, I will discuss some of the best options available at linebacker in rookie IDP drafts.
While we don't have great ADP for IDP rookie drafts, the consensus top inside linebacker is probbaly Junior Colson, who was drafted by the Chargers. His scores are decent but not spectacular in my models. One strong argument for Colson, though, is not considered by the models: namely, that he was drafted by his own college coach. For that reason, he seems certain to get playing time in the near future, especially with Denzel Perryman on the last year of his contract, so I can't fault the first ILB pick even if the models don't whole heartedly agree.
Below, we will look at some of the linebackers you can get later in the draft that still have a reasonable chance to turn into productive assets for your dynasty team at some point in the next few years.
