Fantasy Football Tight End Streaming Week 14

It’s nearly fantasy playoff week, and for those of us who have been streaming the tight end position, we can find solace in the fact that the misery is almost over! There are currently 20 tight ends who are owned in more than 40% of Yahoo leagues, pointing toward the desperation of nearly every team rostering multiple options and trying to start them with positive matchups in mind. We’ll continue to scrape the barrel here and help you get through to the next round.

For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.

To provide the advice you can implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Isaiah Likely (Ravens) vs. Rams

Though Isaiah Likely wasn’t asked to do much following Mark Andrews’ ankle injury forced him out of the Ravens’ Week 11 win over the Bengals, he would slide into the pass-catching tight end’s role in the following week. He ran 30 routes —the second-highest mark on the team— and was targeted four times for a 4-40-0 stat line. That’s the sort of usage we should see moving through the fantasy playoffs, and the team’s Week 13 bye should further solidify Likely into the Andrews role.

If the “Mark Andrews role” isn’t enough to make Likely your waiver priority this week, keep in mind that the Los Angeles Rams are currently ranked 32nd in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to the tight end position. Likely is still available in 64% of Yahoo leagues and should be considered head-and-shoulders a better option than anyone else in this article moving forward.
