Forecasting 2023 NFL Rookie WR Success: 3-Year Model
The 2023 NFL Draft is now in the books, giving us dozens of new offensive players to consider for our fantasy teams. In this article, I will discuss some of the value picks available at wide receiver in rookie drafts.

Our friends over at Dynasty League Football (DLF) have already compiled some post-draft rookie ADP, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is usually the top receiver off the board. I wouldn't argue with that assessment. While the analytical methods I use don't rank him any higher than the next three receivers taken, it seems clear that, like former Ohio State teammates Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave, Smith-Njigba is "good at football" in a way that the doesn't always show up in the statistics. Indeed, both Wilson and Olave claim that Smith-Njigba is the best receiver of the three. With that vote of confidence from two top NFL receivers, I'm happy taking Smith-Njigba as the first rookie receiver.
