Streaming Tight Ends: Week 13 Targets
With the Panthers and Buccaneers on a bye this week, those who’ve been relying on a late-season surge from Rob Gronkowski will have to search elsewhere for their tight end points. With so many NFL teams utilizing their whole tight end room lately, streaming is getting more difficult in 2020, but I’ll attempt to find some decent fill-ins for you all to start in Week 13.
As a strategy, streaming aims to find players with above-average matchups, which can hopefully translate to fantasy TE1 production for your fantasy squad. For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season continues to progress and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.
Week 12 was not a very productive one, stream-wise, as the best performers were Dalton Schultz and Jimmy Graham—TE20 and TE21, with 4.9 and 4.7 half-PPR points, respectively. So far, 4for4’s optimal streamer boasts 157.7 total points—good enough for the overall fantasy TE2 on the season.
In order to provide advice you can actually implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Trey Burton (Colts) @ Texans
Here we go again. It appears Trey Burton is once again emerging as the top tight end in Indy, as he’s been the target leader at the position for two straight weeks. He’s coming off an 11.7 half-PPR performance and gets a decent matchup in Week 13 in Houston.
