FanDuel Wild Card Slate Breakdown

FanDuel Wild Card Slate Breakdown

It’s Wild Card Week and these are my FanDuel cash game and tournament strategies. By offering a general approach to the week, along with a player pool to consider, you should walk away feeling well-equipped no matter your bankroll strategy or game selection process.

With only four games on the slate, it’s usually wise to dial back volume and favor GPPs. The small player pool leads to a lot of overlap between lineups, leading to more variance. Since virtually any player that sees significant playing time is in play on such a small slate, this breakdown will take a look at each position in terms of potential core and contrarian plays, rather than the traditional breakdown format that we have used all season.

Quarterbacks

Wild Card weekend kicks off with the Texans versus the Colts, the only game with an over/under above 43 with Houston being the only team this weekend projected for at least 24 points. In what could be the only shootout of the weekend, Deshaun Watson ($8,400) and Andrew Luck ($8,000) top the value report at quarterback. Watson led all quarterbacks in fantasy scoring over the final month of the season, amassing at least 300 total yards in each of his final four games. Since Week 12, the Texans signal caller has averaged 46 yards per game on the ground.
