Main Slate Cash Game Strategy
Quarterback
Three games this week have an over/under at or above 55 points but only one of those games has a single-digit spread: Carolina at Tampa Bay. Given the potential shootout nature of this game with two defenses ranked in the bottom seven of schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA) to quarterbacks, Jameis Winston ($7,500) and Cam Newton ($8,700) top this week’s value report. As a team, only the Chiefs have produced more fantasy points from the quarterback position this season. Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick have combined to account for 85 percent of Tampa Bay’s total offensive yards and touchdowns this season—only two quarterbacks are responsible for at least 80 percent of their team’s yards and scores. Over the last six weeks, Carolina has arguably been worse against the passing than the Bucs, allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per attempt, compared to the 11th-most for Tampa.
