DFS Quarterback Analysis: Week 6

An in-depth breakdown of the upside and downside of the QBs on the Week 4 slate is provided below. Analysis includes how to approach each of the chalk options, as well as how options at the various salary tiers fit into overall roster construction. Ultimately, this piece will provide objective analysis to help guide you through the process of finding safe choices for cash games and high-leverage choices for GPPs.

Chalk

Only one quarterback stands out above all the others in our ownership projections: Deshaun Watson. This will be an interesting week, however, as there is an abundance of teams with high implied team totals in Week 6. Watson is my favorite quarterback for cash games, but there are plenty of other leverage spots to target in GPPs.

  • Deshaun Watson ($7,900/$6,700) is in an amazing spot. The Texans are at home with an implied team total of 28.25 points, the fourth-highest total on the slate. Watson has been the most efficient fantasy quarterback this season, averaging .68 fantasy points per dropback, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF.) His floor is solidified with his league-high 179 rushing yards among quarterbacks. I’m partial to Watson as my cash game quarterback against a Browns team ranked 32nd in quarterback aFPA.
