Week 11 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Wednesday

Eagles QB Sam Bradford (concussion, left shoulder) did not practice Wednesday. Bradford is in the concussion protocol and is going to have a tough time making his return for Week 11. He also has a separated left shoulder, but wants to play. But it looks like Mark Sanchez will get the start. In eight starts last year, Sanchez completed 63.8% of his passes for an average of 277 yards, 1.50 TD and 1.13 INT. That equates to 16.6 FP, or about what Joe Flacco averaged as the QB13 last year. He has a nice matchup with the Buccaneers, who are #24 in QB aFPA. However, he was also a main player in The Buttfumble. Last year, Jordan Matthews averaged 4.2-67-0.67 in games that Sanchez attempted at least 20 passes. He averaged 4.1-39-0.29 in the other seven games.

Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (left shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday. Bridgewater will be fine to face the Packers.

Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (left thumb) did not practice Wednesday. Fitzpatrick is expected to start in Week 11. On paper, it’s a solid matchup against the Texans, though Houston has limited Andy Dalton and Zach Mettenberger to 368 combined passing yards and two interceptions in the last two games. Back in Week 7, they yielded 282 yards and four touchdowns to Ryan Tannehill.

Texans QB Brian Hoyer (concussion) did not practice Wednesday. Hoyer is looking iffy for Week 11. T.J. Yates would get the start if Hoyer is out. DeAndre Hopkins has thrived with multiple quarterbacks in the last two seasons.

Colts QB Andrew Luck (abdomen, kidney) did not practice Wednesday. Matt Hasselbeck will get the start against the Falcons. In two appearances, he has completed 48-of-76 passes (63.2%) for 495 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. He’s a streaming option in Week 11.

Broncos QB Peyton Manning (foot, rib cage) did not practice Wednesday. Brock Osweiler will get the start in Week 11. In a quarter and a half of play, Osweiler completed 14-of-24 passes for 146 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The Broncos were in catch-up mode, so don’t expect the team to be that pass heavy against the Bears.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (right shoulder) took limited practice reps Wednesday. This is Rodgers’ first appearance on the injury report this season. Mike McCarthy said that Rodgers was banged up, so it doesn’t appear to be serious.
