Patriots and Seahawks Open the Season
The season opens in 1 week on Wednesday, September 9 with a rematch of the Super Bowl. The Patriots are in Seattle to take on the Seahawks after losing to them in Super Bowl LX to close last season. It should be fun to watch Sam Darnold and Drake Maye matchup once again.
The Seahawks were the top seed in the NFC last season and beat the 49ers, Rams, and Patriots during their Super Bowl run. The Patriots were the No. 2 seed in the AFC a year ago and one of the biggest surprises of the 2025 season.

Rams and 49ers Battle in Australia
On Thursday, September 10, the Rams and 49ers are battling in Melbourne, Australia. The game is set for 8:35 pm ET, and you can watch it on Netflix. It's an NFC West battle between two teams that have high hopes this season. Both teams were in the postseason a year ago, and both teams lost to the Seahawks. The 49ers were dominated in the Divisional Round while the Rams fell in a wild 31-27 NFC Championship Game.
After adding Myles Garrett, the Rams were feeling like they had the league's best defense. A few days ago, Aaron Donald announced he is coming out of retirement. Matthew Stafford is coming off an MVP season, and all eyes are on Los Angeles heading into the 2026 season.
