ATL QB Matt Ryan - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Carolina Panthers
In Week 10, Ryan was 20/35 for 182 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and finished as the QB15.

Ryan has a tough matchup on the road as a 4.5 point underdog against the Carolina Panthers who are fifth-best against the quarterback position, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. The Panthers are better at defending the pass than the run so look for the Atlanta offense to try to establish the run. This game has a decent over/under (49.5) and the Falcons could be forced to attempt more passes if they fall behind early. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Ryan ranked as the QB11.

Week 8 vs. Seattle Seahawks
Update: Matt Ryan has been ruled out for Week 8

In Week 7, he was 16/27 for 159 yards, zero touchdowns, one interception, and finished as the worst fantasy quarterback, QB31. Part of his poor performance can be attributed to him leaving the game in the fourth quarter with a sprained right ankle.

Ryan did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday but did practice on Friday. Practicing Friday is a good sign towards Ryan playing on Sunday but monitor his status closely over the weekend and on Sunday morning. If Ryan plays, he will look to bounce back at home against Seattle, who are 12th-worst against the quarterback position, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. This game has the highest over/under (53) and could turn into a shootout. 4for4 rankings expert John Paulsen has Ryan ranked as the QB11.

ATL QB Matt Ryan - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Tennessee Titans

Matt Ryan attempted 46, 43, and 34 passing attempts in Week 1, 2, and 3 respectively. In Week 3, he had a season-low in passing attempts but managed to turn in his best fantasy performance. He was an efficient 29/34 and scorched the Colts zone defense for 304 yards, three touchdowns, one interception, and tied Dak Prescott as the QB7 in Week 3.

Ryan has a more difficult matchup against the Titans. They are ninth-best against the quarterback position as shown by our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4’s rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Ryan as the QB10. ATL QB Matt Ryan - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Indianapolis Colts

Matt Ryan bounced back from a rough Week 1 against the Vikings. In Week 2, Ryan was 27/43 for 320 yards, three touchdowns, three interceptions, and finished as the QB9 with 19.1 fantasy points. The three interceptions are concerning but it is good to see Ryan attempting a lot of passes. He had 46 passing attempts against the Vikings and 43 attempts against the Eagles.

The Colts defense schemes toward playing zone coverage so look for Ryan to target receivers who are able to find holes and sit down beneath the Cover 3 zone.
