DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 18 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 18 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Dak Prescott had a strong regular season finale throwing for 387 yards and four touchdowns. The Cowboys decided to play Prescott the whole game despite it being a meaningless game. It could be a confidence booster for the Cowboys passing game.

Dallas will face Seattle in the playoffs and the Seahawks are ranked 27th in aFPA to quarterbacks. There is little doubt Prescott had turned around his season and we expect the Cowboys to still ride Ezekiel Elliot but they do feel they can win throwing the football. Start Prescott in all leagues for Week 18. It's a good matchup at home for him.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at New York Giants

Dak Prescott had an efficient game last week against Tampa, completing 80 percent of his passes and two combined touchdowns. The Cowboys passing game has been in good hands with him and he has worked his way up the fantasy rankings.

However, the Cowboys are locked into the No. 4 seed in the NFC and the game is meaningless. So, there is a good chance Prescott doesn't play the whole game. That gives him zero value for Week 17. Don't play Prescott in any leagues.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

We will give a pass to Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense last week as a bump in the road. The Cowboys offense has been very good over the last month and we expect a bounce-back game. Prescott was held in check as he failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time since Week 11.

Prescott will face the Bucs this week who rank 18th in aFPA to quarterbacks. He is back home in Dallas where the Cowboys offense has been much better. Expect Prescott to return to form against a struggling Tampa defense. Start him as solid QB1 for Week 16.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Indianapolis Colts

Dak Prescott had his best game of the season and raised his fantasy stock in the process. He completed 42 of 54 passes for 455 yards and three touchdowns in the win over the Eagles. The only negative was he did throw two interceptions, but when you throw that many passes, you can expect a hiccup here or there.

Prescott has another good matchup this week when he faces the Colts who are 27th in aFPA to quarterbacks. There is no doubt Prescott has been much better since the arrival of WR Amari Cooper and the numbers spell that out. Prescott should be in your starting lineup for Week 15 as a low-end WR1. He is riding a hot streak right now so jump aboard.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Dak Prescott will face the Eagles for the second time this season after facing them in Week 10 which started this current winning streak. He has really been steady, although unspectacular during that four-game stretch. Prescott has thrown four touchdown passes and zero interceptions, with three rushing touchdowns. Against the Eagles, he did throw for 270 yards and account for two Dallas touchdowns.

Philly is ranked 22nd in aFPA to quarterbacks. Even with a decent matchup and some great play over the past month, that is not good enough for Prescott to be in your starting lineup for Week 14. Keep him on the bench as a solid QB2.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. New Orleans Saints

Dak Prescott had probably his best game of the season on Thanksgiving completing a season-high 71 percent of his passes and throwing for 289 yards and two touchdowns. He has now gone three straight games without throwing an interception. Prescott is still getting pressured but has handled it much better and his decision making has been sharp.

The Cowboys will face the Saints who are in 21st in aFPA to quarterbacks. New Orleans defense has been opportunistic, so Prescott needs to continue to play smart football. Even with the current winning streak and better play, keep Prescott on the bench for Week 13 as solid QB2.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Washington Redskins

Dak Prescott had a solid game last week throwing for 208 yards. He didn't throw any interceptions but threw zero touchdowns as well. He did score a rushing touchdown for the second straight game. Prescott is not putting up great fantasy numbers but he is helping the Cowboys win.

Dallas will face rival Washington who is seventh in aFPA to quarterbacks. Prescott faced the Redskins in Week 7 where he threw for 273 yards and a touchdown. In five games against the Skins, Prescott has not thrown a pick but has thrown only four touchdowns in five games.

We don't expect the numbers to get better any time soon and with a tough matchup, Prescott rates a solid QB2. He should remain on the bench for Week 12.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Atlanta Falcons

Dak Prescott had one of his best games of the season on Sunday night. He completed 72 percent of his passes for 270 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 31 yards and another score. It wasn't a great fantasy outing, but a solid one for the Cowboys signal caller, and he did help Dallas to a big win.

Prescott will try to replicate that on Sunday against the Falcons. It's a great matchup as the Falcons are ranked 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks. Prescott's recent play has been boosted by the acquisition of WR Amari Cooper which has helped the Dallas offense overall. We expect a solid performance in Week 11 for Prescott, but not enough to warrant a starting spot on your team. Keep him on the bench as a solid QB1 against Atlanta.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Philadelphia Eagles

Dak Prescott did not play poorly on Monday night, but the Cowboys offense was still lacking big plays. The result was a home loss and now it's desperation time for Dallas, and an even bigger microscope on Prescott. He threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, but turned the ball over twice.

Prescott will face the Eagles who are ranked ninth in aFPA to quarterbacks. He has struggled against Philadelphia in his career, averaging 162 passing yards per game while throwing only three touchdowns and four interceptons. Prescott is still not a good play for your fantasy team and should remain on the bench for Week 10 as a low-end QB2.

Friday, November 9, 2018 - 11:24am
DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Tennessee Titans

Before the bye week, Dak Prescott threw for a season-high 273 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for a score in the loss to the Redskins. His numbers have been average across the board, but many think it's because the talent level of the receivers is low. So, the Cowboys went out and acquired Amari Cooper from the Raiders.

Prescott will face the Titans who are 11th in aFPA to quarterbacks. We will see if Cooper helps Prescott's numbers but for Week 9, he ranks a QB2 so keep him on the bench against Tennessee.
