DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Washington
In his last three games, Dak Prescott has thrown 8 touchdown passes and zero interceptions. He also has back-to-back 300+ yard passing games. Right now, Prescott is playing great football and his fantasy numbers and ranking have skyrocketed.

In his first meeting at Washington earlier this season, Prescott threw for 292 yards but had zero touchdown passes. He did have a rushing touchdown. With the Redskins ranked 16th in aFPA to quarterbacks, we expect Prescott to stay on a roll. Start him as a solid QB on Thanksgiving Day.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Baltimore
With Tony Romo conceding Dak Prescott is the Cowboys quarterback now and for the near future, it solidifies Dak's fantasy status as an NFL starter. Prescott was outstanding last week in Pittsburgh, throwing his first 300-yard passing game of his career and adding two touchdowns. He led the Cowboys on the game-winning drive at the end of the game, making throws when he need to.

Prescott will have a tougher task this week as Baltimore is ranked eigth in aFPA to quarterbacks. Even though Prescott is at home, he should continue in the game manager role unless Dallas has to make another comeback. Sit him on the bench for Week 11.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Pittsburgh
Dak Prescott doesn't seem to be looking over his shoulder. He just goes out and wins football games. He had one of his best games of his young career throwing for 247 yards, 3 touchdowns and zero picks last week against Cleveland.

Prescott now heads to Heinz Field to take on the Steelers. Pittsburgh's defense hasn't been great, ranked 19th in aFPA to quarterbacks so there is an opportunity for Prescott to put up decent numbers in Week 10. Start Prescott in all leagues and formats as a solid QB1.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Cleveland
Dak Prescott continues to do the most important thing for Dallas: help his team win. Prescott was efficient again throwing for 287 yards and two touchdowns, and while he did throw his second interception of the season, he also lead the Cowboys down the field in overtime for the winning touchdown pass.

The Tony Romo talk has been pushed to back burner for now (and at least until the Cowboys lose a game), so Prescott's value is still pretty good. It's actually even better this week when he faces a Cleveland defense that is ranked 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks.

Even on the road, Prescott should put up good numbers against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Start Prescott in all leagues and formats as a solid QB1 for Week 9.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Philadelphia
Dak Prescott threw three touchdowns in a game for the first time of his career two weeks ago and he also threw his first career interception (which is saying a lot, considering he has already played six games in his rookie season).

Coming off a bye week, Prescott and the Cowboys have a daunting task as they face the Eagles, who are second in aFPA to quarterbacks this season. Prescott will continue to be asked to throw around 28-30 passes and protect the football.

With the tough matchup and the conservative play from the Cowboys (who like to rely on the running game), keep Prescott on the bench for Week 8 as a solid QB2.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Green Bay
Dak Prescott continues to be a great game manager and most important, is helping the Cowboys win football games. Last week against Cincinnati, he threw for 227 yards and a touchdown and is averaging 248 yards per game this season. He has now thrown four touchdowns without an interception.

Prescott is already hearing about Tony Romo's return, but that is still down the road a couple weeks. So for now Prescott remains the starter. He will face a Packers defense that is 22nd in aFPA to quarterbacks. One of his best weapons Dez Bryant will not play again so that is a negative.

Prescott has a decent matchup, but his numbers still aren't making fantasy owners confident that he can make an impact every week. He rates a high-end QB2, but probably should remain on the bench for Week 6.

Friday, October 14, 2016 - 11:10am
DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Bengals
Dak Prescott's numbers continue to improve each week. Last week, he threw for 245 yards but more important threw his first multi-touchdown game. Prescott has the job until at least Week 8 when the Cowboys are anticipating Tony Romo's return. He will try to make the team's decision harder to insert Romo back in as the starter.

It's a good matchup at home against the Bengals who are 26th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Of course, Prescott like, the Cowboys, will miss Dez Bryant who remains out with a knee injury.

Nonetheless, Prescott rates a high-end QB2 this week. Although there are still some better options at QB for Week 5, playing Prescott could pay off in Big D this Sunday.

Friday, October 7, 2016 - 8:49am
DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at San Francisco
After throwing for an average of 38 passes the first two games, Dak Prescott threw only 24 times in last week's win over Chicago. Although this is probably what the Cowboys prefer, fantasy owners would like more attempts. However, he did manage to throw his first touchdown pass of his career and also had his second rushing touchdown to go with 248 passing yards, so it wasn't such a bad day.

It will get tougher now as he goes on the road, although San Francisco is only ranked 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks this season. Dallas definitely has confidence in Prescott, so don't except coach Jason Garrett to hold him back. Prescott earns a high-end QB2 ranking this week, and although there are some better choices for Week 4, there also are a lot worse.

DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Chicago
Dak Prescott will get his third-straight start and although he has played well for Dallas, his fantasy numbers have been lackluster. He did throw for 292 yards last week and scored a rushing touchdown in his only rushing attempt. But after two weeks, he still does not have a touchdown pass. That could change this week.

The Cowboys host the Bears who are currently 30th in aFPA to quarterbacks. This is a great opportunity for Prescott to have a break out game. However, the Cowboys aren't likely to let Prescott loose and throw 45 passes like he did in Week 1. He most likely will be around 30 attempts and the touchdown passes will come.

Prescott still has not done enough to earn any fantasy cred. The Cowboys are conservative with him as he manages games. He should remain on the bench for Week 3.

Friday, September 23, 2016 - 8:48am
DAL QB Dak Prescott - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Washington
Dak Prescott was serviceable in his first NFL start. He threw the ball 45 times which was surprising and completed 25 of them for 227 yards. He also didn't throw a pick, but didn't throw a TD either. It seems good for anyone who took a chance on Prescott that the Cowboys aren't holding back the playbook with him.

He will face a Redskins defense that struggled against the Steelers passing game. Although Washington will make some adjustments, Prescott can probably do similar numbers this week, but that is not enough to get him in your lineup for Week 2. Sit him in all leagues and formats.
