Tyler Kroft

The Bills had one of their most wide-open snap shares among tight ends against Seattle. In most games, they’ve had one top tight end available who gets the majority of snaps. In Dawson Knox’s first game back Sunday from a calf injury and the Reserve/COVID-19 list, he finished slightly behind Tyler Kroft in snaps. Knox’s 24 reps were six shy of Kroft’s 30, but the more intriguing development was the uptick in usage for undrafted rookie Reggie Gilliam. Against Seattle, Gilliam had 13 snaps, his highest share of the season.

The story added some of Gilliam's snaps came on goal-line plays, but the Bills worked Gilliam into offensive formations more. Outside of Kroft’s touchdown, the position overall was a non-factor in the passing game. Kroft’s 1-yard touchdown catch was the only attempt to a tight end the whole game.
