Scouting report

BAL RB Ty Montgomery - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Atlanta Falcons

Ty Montgomery had eight carries and three receptions for 64 yards from scrimmage last week against the Raiders. It was his first significant stat line as a Raven and it’s a huge concern for the value of Javorius Allen moving forward. While Montgomery may be carving a role in the offense, he’s far from being a starter, making his current fantasy value limited in most leagues. Fantasy owners should monitor his snap count and targets moving forward, but he should stay on waivers at this time.

BAL RB Ty Montgomery - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Following a trade from the Packers at the deadline, Ty Montgomery will be seeking a role in the Baltimore offense for the remainder of the season. Where he’ll line up regularly is likely going to be a work in progress, but expect him to get touches in the backfield as well as the slot. Fantasy owners should take a wait-and-see approach with him this week, and his arrival hurts the value of other Ravens runners more than it helps Montgomery.

GB RB Ty Montgomery - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at L.A. Rams

Ty Montgomery hasn't gotten more than 10 touches in a game this season. And that's even been with a disjointed rushing attack ahead of him and a plethora of injuries at the WR position. He's not worth using in any format.

GB RB Ty Montgomery - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. San Francisco 49ers

With the Packers trailing last week, Ty Montgomery saw a team-best 29 snaps in the backfield last week. The bad news is that he got just five touches, four carries for 15 yards and one catch for 23. That's not enough work to use him even as a flex play this week. The 49ers have allowed 37 receptions to opposing running backs, so there's some hope there. But to use Montgomery as anything more than a low-end flex play would be a stretch.

GB RB Ty Montgomery - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Detroit Lions

Ty Montgomery had five carries for 18 yards and two receptions for 56 last week and could have a bigger role this week. Green Bay's receiving corps is banged up and Montgomery could wind up seeing some action in the slot. He's a guy who Aaron Rodgers trusts, so Montgomery could be a nice start as a flex play, especially in PPR leagues. Keep an eye on the injury report and react accordingly.

GB RB Ty Montgomery - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Buffalo Bills

Ty Montgomery led the Green Bay backs in touches last week with four carries for 16 yards and six receptions for another 48. But that was largely because the Packers were behind for the entire game. He actually only played 20 snaps, compared to 30 for Jamaal Williams and 17 for Aaron Jones. The Packers don't figure to be trailing in this game, despite the Bills sneaking up on Minnesota last week. None of the Green Bay backs should be used as anything but a flex play.

GB RB Ty Montgomery - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Washington Redskins

Ty Montgomery hasn't gotten much work thus far this season and that's unlikely to change with Aaron Jones now back. At this point, he's probably not going to get more than the five carries for 31 yards or one reception he had last week.
