Scouting report

by Scot Berggren

DET TE Tim Wright - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Kansas City
With the return of Eric Ebron to the Detroit lineup last Sunday, Tim Wright caught just one pass for 13 yards in the loss to the Vikings. There is no reason for Wright to be on your fantasy roster.

DET TE Tim Wright - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Minnesota
Benefitting from Eric Ebron and Brandon Pettigrew being out last week in the overtime victory over Chicago, Tim Wright caught three passes for 17 yards and his first TD as a Lion. Matthew Stafford threw the ball 42 times, with six of those attempts going in the direct of Wright. Ebron should be back on Sunday, in which case there is absolutely no reason to start Wright as he'd be relegated to a backup role.

DET TE Tim Wright - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Chicago
Lions QBs threw the ball 70 times last week versus the Cardinals, with Tim Wright seeing five looks that resulted in three receptions for 12 yards. Even with Eric Ebron out due to a knee injury, there is no reason to have Wright on your fantasy roster.

DET TE Tim Wright - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Arizona
Replacing an injured Eric Ebron last Monday night against the Seahawks, Tim Wright caught a 26-yard pass – his first reception as a Lion. With Ebron a few weeks, Wright should see some looks from Matthew Stafford, but don’t expect to see the type of numbers Ebon was posting over the first four games. There has to be a better option for your fantasy TE.

DET TE Tim Wright - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Minnesota
Starter Eric Ebron had a good first game and will remain the top receiving TE for the Lions. Tim Wright has no fantasy value at this time.

DET TE Tim Wright - Week 1, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. San Diego
Recently acquired from the Bucs, Tim Wright will likely be used sparingly in the opener at San Diego. Even if starting TE Eric Ebron’s ankle keeps him out, there’s no reason for Wright to be in your fantasy lineup.

NE TE Tim Wright - Week 20, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 20 vs Colts
Wright is always capable of putting up some stats in this offense, but we haven't seen more than one catch or 15 yards from Wright going all the back to Week 12 of the season. With Gronk healthy and crunch time here, there's little reason for this to change now. He's a high risk player, though there is some upside theoretically.
