Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed (shoulder, doubtful) took limited practice reps all week and is doubtful for Week 13. Matt Breida (COVID) won't play in Week 13 after being placed on the reserve/COVID list. DeAndre Washington (hamstring, doubtful) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice earlier in the week and is doubtful for Week 13. Per Cameron Wolfe: "Myles Gaskin has been trending toward playing Sunday but final decision on if he will be activated will come by Saturday afternoon. Patrick Laird only other healthy running back." Gaskin is a good option if he's active.
MIA RB Patrick Laird - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 13 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
UPDATE: The Dolphins activated Myles Gaskin, so Patrick Laird won't be as useful as a fantasy option this week.
Patrick Laird may be a sneaky fantasy option this week as he's currently the Dolphins' only healthy running back. DeAndre Washington and Salvon Ahmed are listed as doubtful, Matt Breida was sent to the COVID-19/Reserve list and Myles Gaskin is still on injured reserve. There's a chance Gaskin is activated, but if he's not, then Laird suddenly becomes an attractive option. Laird has seen limited playing time this season with nine total touches, but Miami's backs so far this season have been mostly useful when given enough touches. The Bengals have given up the third-most total rushing yards to backs this season, so there's opportunity for success this week for Laird.
