The story said the Bills threw the ball 63-percent of the time in early-down, neutral game-script situations a year ago. They’re going to throw the football a lot. So the most useful running back on this team might be the one who can consistently make big plays in the passing game. Moss has made a few of those plays, and so has Breida. Running backs can be tough to judge at this stage in camp, but Breida should get a chance to show what he can do in the preseason, the story went on to say.
The #Bills are expected to sign former #Dolphins RB Matt Breida, source said, as the speedster stays in the division. He gets a 1-year deal.
Matt Breida had a disappointing year in Miami in 2020 despite being in a run offense with little star power. He'll most likely slip in as the third option in Buffalo's backfield behind Devin Singletary and Zack Moss, and won't be on the fantasy radar unless there's an injury.

Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday. Ahmed may be able to return. Myles Gaskin is expected to miss Week 15, so if Ahmed can get healthy, he'd likely lead the Miami backfield against the Patriots. For now, DeAndre Washington and the recently activated Matt Breida would likely share the work.
