Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (hip, out) has been ruled out for Week 9. With Bernard out, Jeremy Hill will see feature back duties and is a good bet for 16-20 touches against a so-so Jacksonville defense. Cedric Peerman will likely fill the change-of-pace role.

Bengals RB Giovani Bernard officially out for Week 9. A.J. Green is listed as questionable.

Fantasy Impact:

Jeremy Hill should see 15-20 touches as the Bengals’ primary back in a pretty nice matchup against the Jaguars. Cedric Peerman will likely serve as his backup.

Bengals Beat: 'Looks like' Giovani Bernard will miss Week 9

Bengals RB Giovani Bernard is one beat up guy. He's fighting a clavicle injury and a hip pointer. This comes after battling through a rib injury the last few weeks. He's taking a beating. It looks like it will catch up to him this week and Jeremy Hill will take over the load of the duties.

Fantasy Impact:

We're waiting to see if Bernard gets any practice in on Friday before removing him from the rankings, but it's not looking good. Jeremy Hill becomes a top 15 play if Bernard is out.

Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (hip) missed practice again Thursday. The injury reportedly isn’t serious, but Bernard suddenly looks iffy for Sunday. If he can’t play, Jeremy Hill would be a very good start against the Jaguars. The Bengals play early on Sunday.
