Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable says quarterback Jason Campbell has a right wrist injury that's more significant than the stinger he suffered Saturday night against San Francisco. At this point, Campbell is not expected to miss the season opener at Tennessee.

Fantasy Impact: 

Saturday was a rough night for Campbell, and a reminder that Oakland's offensive line has issues. He projects to be a decent fantasy backup, but fantasy owners need to monitor his recovery and keep in mind that the Raiders, while better, still have flaws.

San Francisco’s first defense allowed three touchdowns and the team committed 10 penalties but the Niners still managed to squeak out their third straight preseason win.

They beat the Oakland Raiders 28-24 as backup quarterback David Carr led a late touchdown drive that gave the Niners the victory.

The Niners put together a 16-play, 80-yard drive to win it. Rookie running back Anthony Dixon scored on third-and-goal from the 1 to give San Francisco the lead with 1:44 remaining.

Frank Gore ran for 58 yards on two carries in his first action of the preseason for the Niners, Alex Smith threw a touchdown pass to Josh Morgan and rookie Phillip Adams scored on an 83-yard punt return as San Francisco remained undefeated in the preseason.

Linebacker Patrick Willis had two tackles behind the line of scrimmage against Darren McFadden and an 11-yard sack against Jason Campbell.

Niners LT Joe Staley (sprained knee) and running back Brian Westbrook (hamstring) are day to day. Niners WR Michael Crabtree did not play because of a stiff neck.

Bruce Gradkowski solidified his backup quarterback spot...

Bruce Gradkowski solidified his backup quarterback spot for the Oakland Raiders with a steady showing as the Raiders lost 28-24 to their Bay Area rivals, the San Francisco 49ers.

Gradkowski threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns after Jason Campbell left with an injury. He did not play in the first two exhibition games because of a groin injury and was in danger of falling behind Kyle Boller on the depth chart. But he completed 14 of 22 passes and led Oakland to scores on his first three drives. He threw touchdown passes to Louis Murphy and Zach Miller and set up a 57-yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski.

Before leaving Campbell got off to another strong start, completing four passes for 67 yards on an 81-yard touchdown drive. Darrius Heyward-Beyhad two of his three catches on the drive, fullback Marcel Reece had a 34-yard reception and Michael Bush scored on a 1-yard run.

Bush also left the game with a broken left thumb and does not know how serious it is. DT Desmond Bryant had an elbow injury.

Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable said the stinger that caused quarterback Jason Campbell to leave Oakland's third preseason game shouldn’t prevent him from playing in the season opener.
