Arnold was a favorite target of QB Trevor Lawrence and Rapoport went on to say the injury could knock him out 4-6 weeks. Based on the calendar, the injury could be season-ending as a result. O'Shaughnessy had a 3-29-0 line on five targets in Week 12, and likely steps into Arnold's role.
O'Shaughnessy had carved out a successful role in the Jaguars offense prior to his injury, but the trade for Dan Arnold has allowed the former Panther to dominate the TE1 role. Look for O'Shaughnessy to to jump Jacob Hollister as the TE2 going forward and being a marginal streaming option at best as long as Arnold is healthy.
O'Shaughnessy had an excellent start to his season prior to the injury and will now miss at least three weeks. Jacob Hollister was brought in to compete for snaps and will more than likely make his Jags debut Week 3.
Reports indicate Manhertz and Farrell could split reps which would damage both fantasy values. Hollister is also on the roster and could also be a factor in the end. With a high ankle sprain, he'll likely miss a few weeks. O'Shaughnessy was getting some value when healthy so if he hits the wire he may be worth a pickup, especially in deeper leagues.
