Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) did not practice Wednesday. He's not expected back this week. Jalen Parmele is done for the year, so the Jaguars will once again turn to Rashad Jennings, who gets another chance to impress before hitting free agency next summer. He could benefit from an improved passing attack with Chad Henne behind center.
Jags coach Mike Mularkey heaped praise on running back Jalen Parmele for playing through a groin injury that forced him to leave the game twice and leaves him “questionable” for the Buffalo game.
“I probably haven’t seen somebody with that type of injury play with that effort,” Mularkey said. “You’re talking about a guy dragging his leg, literally, through the hole while he’s running over defenders. One of the toughest performances I’ve seen a player have since I’ve been in this league.”
With MJD likely out again Week 13, the RB duties would go back to Rashad Jennings, who wasn't impressive when given the chance, if Parmele can't play this week.
Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey says RB Maurice Jones-Drew probably will be out another week.
Last week's hot wire pickup, Jalen Parmele, has a leg injury and may have to give way to former starter Rashad Jennings, who scored a TD last week after not doing much when originally given the job. Even if MJD comes back in Week 14, you have to wonder how much of a workload he'll be able to handle. That means he could be more of a factor for Week 15, and at that point he's a risky play in what is likely your fantasy playoffs.
