Week 15 vs. New England Patriots
Jack Doyle followed up a nice game against the Bucs with just one catch for 13 yards against the Texans before the bye last week. Doyle had a string of three five-plus-target games prior to the dismal game against Houston, so there’s still hope for him moving forward as a streamer or deep-league option at the position. The Colts didn’t throw the ball much in a 31-0 drubbing of the Texans, and you have to assume Doyle will get more targets in more competitive games.
This may not be the right week to assume that, however. Doyle faces a Patriots defense that ranks seventh in aFPA to opposing tight ends. In a bad matchup, in the midst of an inconsistent season, it’s too risky to trust Doyle in the fantasy playoffs. Sit him.
