Scouting report

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 @ Cincinnati Bengals
On a team devoid of a true number three option behind Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers, Isaiah Likely showed out big time in Week 1 (9-111-1). Since then, he's returned to a second-fiddle tight end, accruing six targets and 53 yards, pretty similar numbers to the equally disappointing Mark Andrews. There's obviously upside here but he can remain a fringe TE2 in fantasy terms

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Buffalo Bills
On a team devoid of a true number three option behind Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers, Isaiah Likely showed out big time in Week 1 (9-111-1). Since then, he's returned to a second-fiddle tight end, accruing four targets and 30 yards, pretty similar numbers to the equally disappointing Mark Andrews. There's obviously upside here but he can remain a fringe TE1/2 in fantasy terms.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 @ Dallas Cowboys
On a team devoid of a true number three option behind Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers, Isaiah Likely showed out big time in Week 1. He didn't find as much success without a Chiefs defense putting the clamps on Andrews, but he's certainly a far better option than a lot of the tight ends currently sitting on waiver wires or benches. His usage should fall somewhere in the middle of his 111 and 26-yard outputs in the first two weeks of the season here in Week 3.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Las Vegas Raiders
On a team devoid of a true number two option behind Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely showed out big time in Week 1. We can't expect another 12-target game here, but we can certainly ride this wave and consider Likely a top-12 option. He may not find as much success without a Chiefs defense putting the clamps on Andrews, but he's certainly a far better option than a lot of the tight ends currently sitting on waiver wires or benches.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Miami Dolphins

Isaiah Likely caught three of his four targets for 56 yards in a big victory over the 49ers on Monday night. Likely now has at least 50 yards in three straight games and he remains a quality fantasy tight end in the wake of Mark Andrews’ season-ending injury.

This week, Likely has a tough matchup against a Miami defense that ranks seventh in aFPA to opposing tight ends. Still, his production in this offense makes him worth considering as a middle-tier fantasy tight end. Start him with tempered expectations, but he should be better than most of the streaming options available to fantasy managers this week.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at San Francisco 49ers

Isaiah Likely caught five of his six targets last week against the Jaguars, gaining 70 yards and a touchdown. It was his second straight game with a touchdown, and he tied for the most targets on the team. You can’t replace Mark Andrews, but Likely is sure doing his best impression. Fantasy managers lucky enough to land him on waivers after Andrews’ injury should feel confident about him for the rest of the fantasy season.

This week, Likely faces a San Francisco defense that ranks 13th in aFPA to opposing tight ends. He’s starting to become matchup-proof, however, given the targets he’s getting and the athleticism he’s shown at the position. Continue to start Likely in what should be the game of the week.

BAL TE Isaiah Likely - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Isaiah Likely had a great game against the Rams last week, catching five of his seven targets for 83 yards and a touchdown. Likely has 13 targets over his last two games and seems to be a key part of the offense now that Mark Andrews is shelved for the rest of the season.

This week, Likely faces a Jacksonville defense that ranks 17th in aFPA to opposing tight ends. It looks like wide receivers are the better way to attack the Jaguars, but Likely should still get enough targets to make him worth considering as a fringe starter this week. We have him ranked just outside our top ten tight ends.
