The New York Giants will place kicker Graham Gano on the COVID-19/reserve list after he tested positive on Monday night, a person with knowledge told NorthJersey.com and USA TODAY Network.
The story went on to say, the Giants say they were notified of the positive test for a player, but did not immediately disclose his identity. That player was self-isolated, and the contact tracing process has been initiated. Two close contacts identified are staff members (not coaches or players) and were told to stay home Tuesday. The team is on a bye week, but the training center in East Rutherford remains open for staff. Gano has a chance to be ready for Week 12 depending on how further tests turn out.
CAR K Graham Gano - Week 19, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook
Divisional Round – Graham Gano vs. Seattle
Graham Gano made two out of his three attempts against the Cardinals this week, missing from 43 yards in the second quarter as the Panthers tried desperately to lose to Ryan Lindley. Gano connected on less than 83% of his attempts this season, and now he gets to play in Seattle against the best defense in the game. I’m not using Gano in any fantasy leagues, and we have him ranked a distant last on our kicker list.
