Scouting report

BUF TE Dalton Kincaid - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Cincinnati Bengals
The last two games have put Dalton Kincaid on the tight end fantasy map. He has 15 targets and 13 receptions for 140 yards and a touchdown. With Dawson Knox out, he played a season-high 84% of the snaps and that sends his fantasy value up.

Kincaid faces the Bengals who are ranked dead-last in aFPA to tight ends. With his recent play and the very favorable matchup, Kincaid ranks a TE1 for the second straight week and is actually a top-five fantasy tight end for Week 9.

BUF TE Dalton Kincaid - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Dalton Kincaid had career highs in just about every fantasy category last week and finally had that breakout game managers have been waiting for. He was targeted eight times which produced eight receptions for 75 yards. He still is looking for his first NFL touchdown.

Kincaid faces the Buccaneers who are ranked 1st in aFPA to tight ends. Despite the tough matchup, we like the fact Kincaid put up the numbers from last week and Dawson Knox is probably out this week so more snaps for Kincaid.

Start Kincaid as a solid TE1 for Week 8. All the factors we mentioned hint towards another good fantasy outing for the rookie.

BUF TE Dalton Kincaid - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at New England Patriots
After missing last week, Dalton Kincaid returns to the lineup. He has 17 receptions for 118 yards so far this season. Kincaid hasn't really caught on as a reliable receiver for QB Josh Allen, but that should change as he gets more NFL reps.

Until we see it start showing up in the numbers, we still have Kincaid ranked as a low-end TE2 and he should remain on the bench or waiver wire.

BUF TE Dalton Kincaid - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (London)
Expectations have been high for Dalton Kincaid coming into the season, but he has been a disappointment so far for several reasons. Last Sunday, he had four catches but for only 27 yards. He is still looking for his first NFL touchdown.

Kincaid faces the Jaguars who are ranked 18th in aFPA to tight ends. The two tight end sets have gone away that we saw at the beginning of the season and Kincaid and Dawson Knox have basically been splitting time.

Keep Kincaid on the bench for Week 5. Until we see better and more consistent fantasy numbers, he will remain at that level as a TE2.

BUF TE Dalton Kincaid - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Miami Dolphins
After a strong start to the season, Dalton Kincaid was held to two receptions for three yards. Part of the issue was the Bills went to less two tight end sets and he was down to 51% of the snaps compared to 70% the first two weeks.

Kincaid faces the Dolphins who are ranked 13th in aFPA to tight ends. The future is bright for the rookie, but it might take some time and this year, he is still paired with Dawson Knox. Keep Kincaid on the bench as he ranks a TE2 for Week 4.

BUF TE Dalton Kincaid - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Washington Commanders
The fantasy numbers went up slightly for Dalton Kincaid from Week 1 to Week 2. For the season, he has 10 targets, nine catches for 69 yards. He is still looking for his first touchdown.

Expect Buffalo to use Kincaid more and more as the season goes on and eventually, he could end up being a serviceable fantasy tight end. The biggest issue is he still sharing the field with veteran Dawson Knox. Both played over 80% of the snaps and although Kincaid is the preferred pass target, he only ranks a low-end TE2 for Week 3.

BUF TE Dalton Kincaid - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Las Vegas Raiders
The preseason prediction we would see plenty of two tight end sets came to fruition in Week 1. Both Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox played over 80% of the snaps. Kincaid, in his NFL debut, caught all four targets for 26 yards. Knox had similar numbers, but you get the feeling Kincaid will eventually be the No. 2 target in this pass offense behind Stefon Diggs.

Kincaid ranks as a solid TE2 for Week 2. Once you see those targets go up closer to 7 or 8, his fantasy stock will rise, but until then, he remains depth on all manager's rosters.
