The 49ers on Monday acted quickly, announcing the club has released tight end Bruce Miller following his arrest for assault in San Francisco.
Miller’s alleged assault sent a 70-year-old man and his son to a San Francisco hospital. Miller was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, elder abuse, threats, and battery. He was booked into San Francisco County Jail at 11:25 a.m. Bond was set at $178,000.
According to the sheriff's department, he also faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm.
