Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez (ankle) returned to limited practice Wednesday. The Colts will likely give Gonzalez another week off and then the BYE to get the ankle fully healed.

Colts wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez and running back Donald Brown returned to practice with the Indianapolis Colts on Monday.

Day-after-game workouts are light and brief but Gonzalez hadn’t practiced or played since suffering a high ankle sprain in the season opener and Brown has been out two weeks with a sore hamstring.

Not practicing were running back Joseph Addai (neck/shoulder), safety Antoine Bethea (hamstring), middle linebacker Gary Brackett (back), wide receiver Austin Collie (foot), defensive end Robert Mathis (undisclosed) and safety Bob Sanders (biceps).

WR Anthony Gonzalez (ankle) — About a week or so ago, the thought was his timetable would be after the bye week. We’re two games away and unless Gonzo shows us something next week, I’m guessing we see him for the Nov. 1 Monday night home game against Houston.
