Lawyers for Aqib Talib said Friday that a Dallas County grand jury indicted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony that's punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison.

Talib's lawyers, Jay K. Reisinger and Frank A. Perez, released a statement noting the indictment is "merely a formal accusation, and that Mr. Talib has not been convicted of any crime with respect to this matter.
