Falcons RB Todd Gurley showed speed, agility, and vision in his first practice at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, according to Will McFadden of AtlantaFalcons.com. "Impressively, he took one handoff during the scoring drive and, seeing the middle of the field was clogged up, turned and sprinted towards the left sideline," wrote McFadden. "He outran contain and got the edge despite not having any blockers out on the left-hand side of the play to buy him time. It was a display of how quickly Gurley could reach top speed and it did not disappoint."
Gurley took to his new home turf and showed that the burst is still there. Maybe a maintenance-free playing surface will help cure what ails Gurley's knees and allow him to play with more comfort for 2020. An arthritic knee is still a serious red flag for fantasy players as drafts continue to happen, but this is encouraging.
