Titans tried to get Randy Moss the ball

Randy was hardly a dandy in his first game with the Titans, who turned in a complete dud.

And after the Dolphins beat the Titans 29-17 on Sunday at Sun Life Stadium, it was difficult to determine what was more disappointing: Tennessee struggling in its second straight defeat or the underwhelming debut of Randy Moss.

In his brief comments, Moss could have been speaking for the entire team — at least when he concluded that he played poorly.

"It was actually a bad game for me,'' said the 13th-year pro, who had one catch for 26 yards. "I think I just tried to do as much hustling as I could. I just tried to stay within the offense. I felt comfortable out there, but I don't think I had a very good overall game. I think that my blocking really wasn't that good, where I wanted it to be. I'll just go back to the drawing board and come back again next week.''

"It was frustrating,'' Collins said. "We certainly had plays in the game plan to try and get him the ball, but it just didn't work out.''

"We were trying, yeah,'' Coach Jeff Fisher said.
