Skins not sure which Pierre Garcon they will get

Which version of Pierre Garcon will be on display Monday night when the Washington Redskins face the New York Giants at FedEx Field? The version that looked every bit like the Redskins’ top wide receiver during their Thanksgiving triumph in Dallas, with a brilliant play on a 59-yard touchdown catch on his way to a solid all-around performance? Or the diminished version that had only five receiving yards four days earlier in a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in his return to the lineup after missing four games because of a torn ligament near the second toe of his right foot?

There’s no way to know beforehand, it seems.

“You never know because he’s not 100-percent healthy,” Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said last week. “So when he does feel good and stuff, you guys can see it. I think everyone can see it. He’s a big-time player. That’s what we hope to get. And when he’s not fully going, I still think him out there helps us.”

Fantasy Impact:

The article said the issue complicates the Redskins’ game-planning and play-calling ... and it's complicated for fantasy owners as well. He shouldn't be trusted as more than a WR3 going forward, but he certainly has the potential to put up better numbers. Baltimore, Cleveland, Philly and Dallas remain on the schedule. They are all about average against WRs.
