With RB Darren Sproles expected to return to the active roster after missing the last two games with a broken hand, HC Joe Vitt offered no guarantees that Chris Ivory's workload will increase or even remain the same on Sunday at Oakland.
"We're going do exactly what we think is going to be necessary against the Oakland Raiders to beat them," Vitt said. "We'll take a look at what defensive fronts they're running, our play selection, we'll give the amount of carries and give the load that we think is warranted to beat that team and it's going to change on a weekly basis. Chris is playing well."
This isn't what fantasy owners want to hear, but the Saints have several good RBs and it sounds like they plan to use them all. Look for Sproles to play mostly on third downs with Ivory, Pierre Thomas and Mark Ingram rotating on early downs.
