Saints RB Bush held out of morning practice

Saints running back Reggie Bush experienced some swelling in his surgically-repaired left knee and did not participate in this morning’s training camp practice.

Saints coach Sean Payton said Bush, who was able to go in Sunday’s single practice after being held out of Saturday’s second workout, had some “mild swelling” in the knee. Bush had surgery on the knee in October and again in December.

“We don’t think it’s anything significant,” Payton said. “We just don’t want it to become irritated and have him be out more than a practice or two.”

Just before noon, Payton said he didn’t know whether Bush would be available for this afternoon’s practice, which will be held indoors.
