Saints Pierre Thomas looks to be out again

Josh Jacobs has a left knee contusion and could play against the Vikings on Sunday, LaFleur said.

“Potentially. We’ll see where he’s at,” Matt LaFleur said, via Weston Hodkiewicz of the team website. “It’s a contusion. It’s more or less trying to get the swelling down. Unfortunately, that’s a pretty hard surface over there [at MetLife Stadium], and that’s a byproduct of that.”

Jacobs avoided a major knee injury, which is the most important news. Jacobs left the game in the first half after rushing for 40 yards on seven carries in the win over the Giants. Wilson may be some extra work this week even if Jacobs plays, but the injury reports should give us a better idea of his chances. It's a big divisional game against the Vikings in Week 12.

Defensive end Will Anderson (ankle), linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee, illness), defensive lineman Denico Autry (knee), right tackle Trent Brown (hand, knee), wide receiver Nico Collins (ankle), right guard Tytus Howard (ankle, knee), safety Jalen Pitre (concussion), and tight end Dalton Schultz (shoulder) were listed as limited participants.

Those who follow the team indicate Collins will be fine and good to go for Thursday night's game against the Bills. We'll continue to monitor in case that changes, but it looks like Collins will play on TNF.

Eddy Pineiro has a grade 1 hamstring strain and will miss some time.

The Niners will need to sign a new kicker heading into Monday night's game against the Panthers.
