BA said Fournette is going to have to cut out his role in the backfield.”. He said that Fournette “added some outstanding depth to the RB room”. He added that “RB is one place you can’t have enough good guys. When you can get a player as good as Fournette that’s a move you make. BA said ROJO is still the guy and McCoy will still have his role”. As expected, Fournette is not going to be handed anything in Tampa Bay, and he will have to earn a role in the backfield. According to Palmer, the addition of Fournette may also speak to where the team feels Ke’Shawn Vaughn is at following a lengthy stay on the reserve/COVID list, and some struggles in camp.
