Rivera: QB Taylor Heinicke to start, Kyle Allen will 'probably' play

Aaron Glenn said Omar Cooper Jr. would practice fully Friday and is expected to play against New England. Cooper still needs to be activated from injured reserve. The Jets ruled Adonai Mitchell out with his finger injury.

Related Players: Garrett Wilson, Isaiah Williams, Tim Patrick, Sterling Shepard, Malik McClain, Kenyon Sadiq, Mason Taylor, Geno Smith

Cooper is worth a speculative bench addition, with a path to WR3/FLEX value if he immediately earns regular routes. Managers should confirm his activation and expected workload before starting him in his first game back. Wilson remains the clear WR1 play.

Adonai Mitchell, Breece Hall, Dylan Parham and Joseph Ossai are OUT for Sunday.

Related Players: Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis, Geno Smith

Allen remains a strong RB2 with RB1 upside if he continues handling most of New York’s backfield work. Hall’s managers can confidently turn to Allen again, while Davis remains a deeper-league bench option who would need a larger workload to become a dependable FLEX play.

The Indianapolis Colts today released wide receiver Darius Slayton.

Related Players: Josh Downs, Keenan Allen, Laquon Treadwell, Deion Burks, Alec Pierce, Ashton Dulin, Anthony Gould, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tyler Warren, Daniel Jones

It's fair to say Slayton can be dropped in even the deepest of Dynasty leagues after he failed to find the field on a WR-heavy Colts team. This is slightly more encouraging for Treadwell, who has received a surprising amount of usage.
