Redskins sign DeSean Jackson

The Washington Redskins made their biggest move yet of the offseason Tuesday night, agreeing to terms with three-time Pro Bowl receiver DeSean Jackson less than a week after the dynamic playmaker was released by the rival Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Impact:

The Redskins saw twice a year what Jackson can do in the NFL and never let him leave town. Jackson will join Pierre Garcon and Andre Roberts to give QB Robert Griffin III a very formidable group at WR in Jay Gruden's more pass-happy offense - which will also includes TE Jordan Reed. From a fantasy perspective, until last year, Jackson was never really a consistent point-producer, but Eagles HC Chip Kelly found ways to utilize him. The argument can be made that the Skins will have more legit targets this year than the Eagles had last season, so another 82/1,300/9 season likely isn't in store for DeSean. But, DJax is a huge deep threat with great speed who is going to produce big plays at times. Perhaps more important, he will draw eyes on defense that could open things up for the rest of the Washington offense. In Kelly's offense, Jackson was a big reason why Riley Cooper emerged last year, and guys like Garcon and Reed could similarly benefit in 2014.
