Redskins beat: RB Samaje Perine could get more carries

The Washington Redskins established their running game in Week 2, gaining 229 yards against the Los Angeles Rams. While the Redskins haven’t been known as a running team under Coach Jay Gruden, offensive coordinator Matt Cavanaugh said the team will try to find that success rushing the ball again Sunday night against the Oakland Raiders.

Rob Kelley is questionable because of a rib injury he suffered Sunday in Los Angeles. He practiced all week, but the Redskins could give more carries to Perine, who had 21 against the Rams.

Related players: Rob Kelley, Chris Thompson

Fantasy Impact:

Kelley is a very risky play in Week 3, especially with the Sunday night kickoff. He's not more than a FLEX this week, and Perine is looking like a decent stash at this point if you have the bench space. Chris Thompson will continue to serve as the passing down back. Also note that Washington returned all five offensive linemen this season.
