The Green Bay Packers appear poised to become the first NFL team to fill a head coaching vacancy this offseason.
The Packers are hiring Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur, according to ESPN and NFL Network. Other candidates were notified that by the team that the organization had made its choice, per ESPN.
LaFleur, 39, completed first season as an NFL play-caller with the Titans in 2018. He previously served as the Los Angeles Rams' offensive coordinator for one year in 2017. Tennessee ranked 24th in total offense with 312.4 yards per game and 27th in scoring with 19.4 points per game, according to the story.
