Kevin Smith's ankle only a “minor tweak”

Lions RB Kevin Smith came up limping early in the second quarter. He could be seen punching the bench on the sideline in frustration.

"I didn't want to be injured, so when I get scared like that, I kind of lost it a little bit."

Smith, who had a high ankle sprain last season, was concerned he suffered a similar injury. A medical evaluation revealed it was only a minor tweak.

"I feel better," Smith said. "I wasn't in a walking boot or anything like that. I've got all my movement. Obviously it's fresh and I still have some swelling, but it's good."

Fantasy Impact:

Smith is in line for lots of work early in the season so this is great news for his owners.
