Jets Reach Out To Revis

Appearing on ESPN radio, New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said the team has reached out to the agents for star cornerback Darrelle Revis regarding a new contract.

"Our expectation is he'll retire a Jet many years from now," Tannenbaum said during his appearance on the radio network.

Revis had given a hint that he might stay away from training camp should he not be given a new contract.

As long as everything works out, the Jets will have one of the best team defenses in 2010.
