Appearing on ESPN radio, New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said the team has reached out to the agents for star cornerback Darrelle Revis regarding a new contract.
"Our expectation is he'll retire a Jet many years from now," Tannenbaum said during his appearance on the radio network.
Revis had given a hint that he might stay away from training camp should he not be given a new contract.
Fantasy Impact:
As long as everything works out, the Jets will have one of the best team defenses in 2010.
