Jets RB Matt Forte's usage continues to fall

After a fast start to the season, Jets running back Matt Forte has been a non-factor during the team's four-game losing streak, which continued Monday night with a 28-3 defeat at the Cardinals. The Jets are now 1-5.

In the Jets' first two games, Forte had 96 and 100 rushing yards, plus 59 and 9 receiving yards. He had three rushing touchdowns in that span, all in Week 2 at Buffalo. Forte doesn't have any touchdowns since then.

Here is what he has done the past four weeks: 15 carries for 65 yards, 14 carries for 27 yards, 12 carries for 53 yards, and nine carries for 19 yards on Monday. Forte's receiving yardage totals during this stretch: minus-1, 16, 7, and 3.

Fantasy Impact:

Of course, the Jets' run blocking (or lack thereof) hasn't exactly helped Forte's rushing totals, the story said. Forte barely played Monday. He received 21 of 54 snaps (39 percent), compared to 39 snaps for Bilal Powell, who ran three times Monday for 10 yards, the story added.
