Dolphins seem optimistic about DeVante Parker (foot) Week 1

Dolphins WR DeVante Parker played fewer than 10 snaps in his debut, the preseason finale against Tampa Bay. He caught one pass for 11 yards, but OC Bill Lazor said this week will be more of a factor in determining Parker’s workload Sunday than anything that happened in the Bucs game.

“Only he knows how it feels and his confidence level,” Lazor said. “Paramount is DeVante’s feeling. If he can go 100 percent, you can feel good.

“We have to feel those things out. If we walk off the practice field and he looks and feels great, it’s a good sign.”

Lazor was optimistic that will be the case.

“I would expect today he’ll better than he was Thursday night at the game,” Lazor said. “I can’t predict how far it will go but we’re excited to have him. I would think he’ll keep getting better.”

Fantasy Impact:

It sounds like the team is optimistic Parker will play, but as of now it's hard to determine what is role would be. It would seem likely he's at least a bit limited in the play-calling due to missing time. But the door is open for Parker to start alongside Jarvis Landry and Greg Jennings in three-WR sets.
