Chris Johnson has a long way to go to reach his preseason goal of 2,500 rushing yards.
The Titans running back gained only 53 yards on 13 carries against the Jaguars, and 21 of those yards came on one play. He has 1,026 yards for the season.
Johnson had 111 yards against the Jaguars on Oct. 18 when the Titans won 30-3 at Jacksonville.
"We were upset about the way we played the last game against these guys on Monday Night Football,'' Jaguars linebacker Kirk Morrison said. "We kind of held Chris Johnson all the way to the end of the game and he busts one for a long run in the fourth quarter. We didn't want him to get 100 yards (Sunday). That was our whole entire goal.''
While Johnson couldn't shake loose from the Jaguars this time around, he did manage to avoid the media after the game, skipping out on a scheduled interview session.
This isn't an earth-shattering way to defend the Titans. With just about no threat of a passing game, despite signing Randy Moss and the return of Kerry Collins, Johnson is the obvious focal point. Perhaps things get better with a possible return of Kenny Britt. Johnson owners have a lot of questions as they head into the fantasy playoffs, but hopefully Britt opens things up a bit.
