Dan Quinn and Thomas Dimitroff will remains with Falcons in 2020

The Falcons have announced they are bringing back both head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff for the 2020 season.

Fantasy Impact:

After a 1-7 start heading into their bye week, the Falcons rallied around Quinn and have won five of their last seven games with a chance to make it six of eight and finish in second place in the NFC South. The Falcons turned on the jets with strong play in both sides of the ball in the second half of the season, especially on offense, and that resulted in the team effectively saving Quinn’s job.

“I have long believed that continuity in leadership is very important across all our businesses and the football team is no different in that regard. After weighing several factors, including our team’s statistical turnaround and our players’ focus and effort the second half of the season, I feel the decision to retain Thomas and Dan, with Rich providing close day-to-day oversight of the football operation, will provide the timeliest route for the Atlanta Falcons to return to contention in 2020 and beyond,” said Falcons owner Arthur Blank.

The Falcons also announced the hiring of Raheem Morris as defensive coordinator, starting after the 2019 season.
