Commanders QB Jayden Daniels hamstring injury not long-term

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said last week that he expects quarterback Lamar Jackson to return to action after the team’s Week 7 bye, but he wasn’t on the field for the team’s first practice since returning to work.

Multiple reporters at Monday’s practice shared that Jackson remains off the field, the story said. It went on to say the Ravens did get some players back on the field - linebacker Roquan Smith and cornerback Chidobe Awuzie were both practicing after missing time with hamstring injuries, so that makes the fact that Jackson wasn't among those players something to pay attention to.

Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said TE Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers should be ready to go after the bye week.

Bowers is dealing with the knee injury and Meyers has both knee and toe issues. The Raiders could certainly use both back in the offense. Bowers owners are hoping he can return to last year's form, and he did have five targets for 108 yards in Week 1.

Dave Canales plans to continue with two back approach with Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle. Two players he says he can trust.

The duo were fairly close in snaps, Hubbard had 38 to Dowdle's 33, and in touches, Dowdle had 18 to Hubbard's 16, and that should remain similar at least for another week. While it's not ideal for fantasy owners of either back, with Bryce Young out this week and Andy Dalton filling in, both backs should have enough fantasy value for lineups - at least until there becomes some kind of separation.
