Chargers RB Kimani Vidal (neck) day to day

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson tried to do what he could to return to Sunday night’s game, but was unable to do so after he was kneed in the back late in the second quarter.

But he told reporters after the loss that his goal is to play Saturday’s Week 17 matchup against the Packers.

Jackson is getting an MRI Monday. He said in the story his legs felt great, but was unable to continue because of the back injury. He tried to throw in the locker room but was in too much pain.

The Commanders are signing QB Jeff Driskel off the Cardinals practice squad, per source.

Driskel served as Washington’s QB3 last season, the post pointed out. He's now back as a depth piece with Mariota (hand) uncertain for Week 17 and Daniels sidelined. Reports say Johnson could very well be the starter for Week 17 but Driskel could serve as the QB2.

The Jets said QB Brady Cook will get the start in Week 17.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn said Cook was doing a really good job in the beginning of the game, managing the game the right way. Glenn admitted there were mistakes made by Cook later in the game, and also mentioned the offensive line, which gave up eight sacks in the loss to the Saints.
